About the model
Recraft Remove Background is a specialized tool with one job: removing the background cleanly. The model is especially good on tricky edges — hair, fur, sheer fabrics — and returns a transparent PNG at the original resolution.
It works both as a standalone tool for preparing product cards and as a post-processing step after generating in other models: build the frame in Nano Banana or Seedream first, then strip the background in Recraft and drop the result into a catalog, presentation, or banner.

Limitations

Prompting tips
- Upload the original at the highest quality available
- Contrasting backgrounds give the best results
- Keep the output as PNG for later compositing — don't re-compress to JPEG
